San Jacinto College Allied Health Addition, Central Campus San Jacinto College District | Pasadena, TX
The Allied Health Addition was added to the original Health Science Building designed by IBI Group in the early 1990’s.
The new addition has a triangular plan concept to respond to site restrictions and to allow it to seamlessly connect to the original building. Building features include state of the art laboratories, tiered lecture classrooms, computer labs, recycling areas and administrative offices.
As one of the many projects with San Jacinto College, this project includes sustainable finishes such as a solar screen, daylighting, bioswale and a rainwater harvesting system which allows for non-portable water to be used for landscaping.
+ Master planning was completed by IBI Group for this district.
“New science and allied health facilities were planned at each of the three San Jacinto College campuses. Each campus worked together to develop the standards to establish a “One College” mentality. The resulting space standards were then used as a starting point during the individual campus programming sessions.”
